Guardia Systems has partnered with Oracle to deploy the Cloud@Customer solution in Iraq, marking an expansion of its regional operations and highlighting the role of Lebanese expertise in digital transformation projects across the Middle East.
Guardia, which specializes in turnkey solutions, fiber optics, data centers, and enterprise cloud infrastructure, will implement Oracle’s hybrid cloud model for Iraqi clients in sectors such as government, healthcare, and finance. The system allows enterprises to access the benefits of cloud computing while maintaining sensitive data on-site—an important requirement in Iraq due to data residency rules.
By keeping data physically within client facilities, Cloud@Customer addresses challenges related to sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and latency. It also reduces the need for heavy upfront infrastructure spending by offering consumption-based pricing.
The project underscores how Lebanese firms and professionals continue to export technical skills and services, positioning the country as a hub for regional digital transformation. Guardia Systems said the expansion opens opportunities for Lebanese talent to play a larger role in technology development across neighboring markets.
