The Council of Ministers has appointed Marwan Jamal as Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) and Daniel Geha, Sorina Mortada, Henry Daher, and Ziad Rahme were appointed as members.
Marwan Jamal was Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau for Electricity and Water (RSB) in Dubai. He is a certified energy regulator. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Law and Policies from Université Paris-Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi.
The Cabinet also named Jenny Gemayel as Chairperson of Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in addition to Haitham Sarhan, Mohammad Ayoub, Rajaa Al Sharif, and Diana Bou Ghanem as members.
Gemayel is Senior Consultant and Head of the Statistics and Audit Department at Ogero and on the faculty of Université St-Joseph (USJ). She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration. She obtained an MBA in International Programs (MBAIP) from the same university. She pursued advanced studies in France, receiving a Master’s Degree in Mathematics as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, both from the University of Franche-Comté.
