The cabinet ratified an agreement of cooperation for tourism with Qatar.

The agreement involves mutual cooperation in terms of tourism planning through exchanging data and expertise.
The cooperation agreement touches on exchange expertise in the field of hotel management.

According to the agreement, the two signatories should cooperate in the fields of promoting tourism through exchanging programs and advertising material. This includes the mutual production and distribution of booklets and films promoting tourism in both states.

The agreement entails the exchange of specialist commissions to participate in sport events, music and theater festivals, and conferences and exhibitions related to tourism.

Both Lebanon and Qatar agreed to support cooperation between the tourism sectors and private travel agencies in both countries. They also will be encouraging investments in tourism by both the private and public sectors.
