Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, which has been closed since the Port Explosion in 2020, is scheduled to reopen in December.

The five-star hotel, which is owned by UAE-based Al-Habtoor Group, is located in Sin El Fil where it is physically connected to Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand, another hotel owned by the group. Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand closed only for two days following the explosion and remained in operation since then.

Besides employees of UN agencies and international organizations, the first guests of Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace are expected to mainly consist of Lebanese expatriates in addition to Arab and foreign tourists as the reopening coincides with the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace has 185 guest rooms. Its amenities include a spa, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, lounges, and an on-site restaurant in addition to a business center and ten meeting rooms.

Hotels affected by the Port blast have already started resuming operations such as InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut which reopened last October. Others such as the Four Seasons, Le Vendome, Le Grey, Beirut Hilton, and Monroe have not yet announced reopening dates.
