The new olive map also shows that olive plantation is concentrated in the North and South regions, mainly in the Koura and Hasbaya districts.

Results of the study were discussed in the “ New National Olive Map- a Mean for Developing Agricultural Areas" panel organized by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Final results of the study which is being prepared by the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) will be released in 2010, the Ministry said.
