‘The Reformists Platform Booklet - 33 ideas to modernize Lebanon’ was launched on November 11 by the Youth Economic Forum (YEF).

“The Reformists Platform acts as a policy development tool for Lebanese youth, providing a space for students, activists, and researchers from different backgrounds to design and develop public interest related policies,” said the President of the forum, Yahya Mawloud.

The booklet was written by 63 young authors (individuals and NGOs). It is the product of the two-year Reformists Platform Project.

In remarks during the launching event, Former Minister of Finance, Jihad Azour, highlighted the need to “draft a comprehensive economic and social scheme”. He also criticized the authorities for “not giving the social and economic file enough consideration in political dialogue.”

The Youth Economic Forum is an independent, non-profit NGO dedicated to empowering Lebanese youth in public affairs. It was founded in 2007, under the patronage of then Minister of Finance Jihad Azour.
