Central Bank publishes index on incentives to loans for eco-friendly projects

The Central Bank announced that it has published a directory on the incentives offered to entrepreneurs investing in environmental projects.

The directory gives details on how to obtain bank loans to fund environment-friendly ventures.

According to Law 7835 of 2001, loans offered to fund environment-friendly projects benefit from a State subsidy on the lending interest, as well as incentives from the Central Bank, in addition to the low-interests offered by the commercial banks.

The Central Bank said that the directory is available online through its website www.bdl.gov.lb. The index is also available at the Central Bank, commercial banks, and Ministries.
