Majed Mneimneh
named Chairman of IDAL
Council of Ministers also appoints six board members

The Council of Ministers has appointed Majed Mneimneh as Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL).

It has also named Zeina Zeidan, Abbas Ramadan, Fadi Halabi, Rony Syriani, Reem Derbas, and Hassan Halabi, as members of IDAL’s board.

Mneimneh, who will replace Mazen Soueid‏, was Financial Advisor at Mideast for Finance & Investment. Earlier, he was General Manager of Dar Al-Liwaa for Press and Publishing, the publisher of the Lebanese Arabic language newspaper Al-Liwaa. Mneimneh’s main work experience was in business consulting.

He holds a Ph.D. in International Business from John F. Kennedy University in addition to an MBA (Finance) from the Lebanese American University (LAU), Executive MBA from Golden Gate University, and a B.S, in Finance and International Business from California State University-Sacramento. Mneimneh has also earned several certificates in different business fields from other international universities and institutions.

IDAL, which was established in 1994, is the national investment promotion agency tasked with promoting Lebanon as an investment destination and in attracting and facilitating investments.
