Qatar has unveiled an assistance package for Lebanon centered on strengthening electricity related operations. The value of the package stands at approximately $400 million according to the Qatar Development Fund. The funding is directed toward the energy sector with allocations reaching up to $400 million. A portion of this amount estimated at ten percent will be provided as a direct grant while the remainder is structured as support aimed at improving continuity and reliability in electricity related services. The funding is designed to be deployed through clearly defined programs tied to operational needs and implementation benchmarks rather than broad budgetary support.

Alongside the energy focused assistance, Qatar has also launched a separate initiative addressing the voluntary and safe return of Syrians currently residing in Lebanon. The project is being implemented in coordination with the United Nations and is structured in phases. The initial phase carries a budget of $20 million and is expected to benefit around 100,000 people, and another $10 million later on. Support under this program focuses on practical measures to facilitate return and early reintegration. Assistance includes arrangements to secure adequate housing inside Syria prior to departure as well as the provision of food and essential medicines for a three-month period following arrival. These measures are intended to ease the transition for returnees and to provide basic stability during the initial period after resettlement.
