Benta grows European base
with buy of Italian NerPharMa

Completes vertical integration and value chain

Benta Pharma has acquired NerPharMa, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Milan, from NMS Group, further strengthening its position as a leading international contract development and manufacturing organization.

Strategically located in one of Europe’s key pharmaceutical hubs, NerPharMa’s Nerviano facility is accredited by both the European Medicines Agency and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The site brings advanced expertise in biologics and high-potency compounds, offering fully integrated drug product and drug substance services across oral solid dosages and sterile injectables. The facility has built a strong reputation in oncology and complex therapies, serving international pharmaceutical partners under stringent cGMP standards.

The acquisition enhances Benta’s European industrial platform and reinforces its ambition to operate as a one-stop-shop CDMO partner, spanning the entire pharmaceutical value chain from process chemistry and active substance manufacturing to finished dosage forms and distribution.

The move also underscores the growing international footprint of Benta Group, the Lebanon-based healthcare holding company founded in 1968. Through its subsidiary Benta Pharma Industries (BPI), the group has been a key player in pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare services in Lebanon and the wider region.

With the addition of NerPharMa to its European arm, including Benta Lyon, the group further bridges its Lebanese roots with an expanding European industrial presence. The transaction reflects a strategic effort to integrate advanced European manufacturing capabilities with the group’s established operations in Lebanon, creating a stronger cross-border platform capable of serving global pharmaceutical clients.

The acquisition signals Benta’s continued transformation from a regional pharmaceutical manufacturer into a vertically integrated, multinational CDMO platform with operations spanning the Middle East and Europe.
