The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has signed a $150 million agreement with the World Bank to finance the digital transformation of public administration, as the government seeks to improve the efficiency of State institutions and expand access to government services.
The project will finance the development of digital infrastructure and government capabilities, including cybersecurity, digital skills and the legal framework needed to support digital services. It will also establish secure platforms for government data exchange and support the development of digital identity and electronic signatures. Public services are expected to be progressively digitized through a unified government digital portal.
