Lebanon ranked in 134th place, out of 183 countries worldwide, on the 2011 Corruption Perceptions Index.
The index, released annually by Transparency International (TI), ranked the country in 13th place among 17 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.

For the third consecutive year (since 2009) Lebanon received a score of 2.5 on a scale from one to ten, where zero indicates the most corrupt. The index measures the perceived levels of public-sector corruption in countries and territories around the world.

According to local anti-corruption watchdog Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA), the country’s low score indicates a high level of corruption, and a high level of perception.
