Berytech and Saint-Joseph University are hosting the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), in partnership with ESSEC Business School.

The competition targets entrepreneurs who present business projects in social entrepreneurship, with economical viability and social impact.

Candidates (individuals or teams) should present an idea that could be developed to startup phase within a three-year frame. The competition stipulates that at least one of the team members should be a university post-graduate student, or having graduated less than two years from competition date.

The winning ideas will benefit from four cash prizes from $5,000 up to $25,000. They will also be provided with mentoring from counselors, as well as key meetings with investors.

The deadline for applying to the GSVC is on December 15.

GSVC is an international competition in business planning initiated in 1999 by the University of California.
