Agreement with Bulgaria to promote cooperation, investments in tourism

A cooperation agreement on tourism signed with Bulgaria was ratified on November 18. The agreement was inked in December 2010.

The two countries agreed to encourage mutual cooperation in the field of tourism at the levels of their public and private sectors. According to the agreement, each country shall promote direct investments (by persons or institutions from the other party) in the tourism sector. The two countries shall also encourage organized group or individual tourism.

Lebanon and Bulgaria also agreed to exchange information and statistical data in the field of tourism.
According to the agreement, a Lebanese-Bulgarian working group on tourism shall be formed. The group will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the agreement, in addition to other tasked related to promoting bilateral cooperation on tourism.
