Tripoli's Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture signed a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tunisian city Sousse.

The agreement states that the two signatories will cooperate to promote bilateral trade of goods and services, with an emphasis on those with comparative advantage. This includes organizing joint conferences, workshops, and exhibitions.

The two parties also agreed to exchange business data and information related to the trade regulations and investment laws adopted by each of the two countries.

The two parties will, according to the agreement, encourage businessmen from Lebanon and Tunisia to establish joint ventures.

According to the Higher Customs Council, the value of Lebanon’s imports from Tunisia throughout 2011 reached $57 million, while its exports to it totaled $9 million.
