Economic Collaboration Forum born
Local economic forum to boost interaction among business stakeholders

A new economic forum was established in January under the name Economic Collaboration Forum. The purpose of the association is to boost interaction among Lebanese business leaders and stakeholders from all sectors in order to develop and encourage investments.

According to its manifesto, the association will communicate with officials and decision makers for setting financial policies and economic reforms. It will also work to enhance the participation of the private sector in all fields so as to raise income levels for individuals and improve social welfare.

The forum will organize trade and industrial exhibitions as well as participate in international exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad. It will also encourage investments by Arab and foreign firms, mainly in the field of technology.

The founding members of the forum are Amer Arslan, Maroun Nicolas, Salim Dernaika, George Moubayed, and George Gharib.

The Economic Collaboration Forum plans to build a center for economic research and studies.
