The Union of Arab Banks has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Beirut-based business higher education establishment, ESA (Ecole Supérieure des Affaires).

The agreement aims at boosting mutual cooperation between the two signatories. The cooperation is within the context of the UAB’s specialized training program planned for the year 2012.

The Secretary General of the UAB, Wissam Fattouh, said that the partnership with ESA is within the union’s objective of developing Arab banking experts for the MENA region. He also said that the agreement facilitates the exchange of expertise in order to carry out joint research and training programs and organize dual conferences and workshops.
ESA was founded in 1996 through an agreement between the Central Bank, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The establishment is managed by the Paris Chamber of Commerce.
