The European Union is undertaking the financing of the Policy Planning and Governance Programme (PPG). The total cost of the project is estimated at $11.8 million.

The general objective of the project is to contribute to public administration reform through improving quality and accessibility of public services.

The project’s purpose is to improve strategic planning and to enhance accountability within the administration.
The project, which will span over a period of six years, is structured around three main pillars, strategic planning and human resources, simplification of procedures, and control and procurement.

The program will address the weak management across public institutions and the absence of clearly defined strategic priorities of institutions.

The expected result of the project is enhancing the strategic planning capacity in four ministries, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Public Health, and Ministry of Industry. The project is also expected to enhance the human resources management capacities in the four ministries.
