Mohamad Choucair has resigned from his position as CEO of the Patchi Group. “This has been a tough decision for me, especially as Patchi is getting ready to sign up its shares for public trading at the Beirut Stock Exchange,” he said.

Choucair, who presided over the Patchi group in 2000, said that it has become difficult for him to pursue his duties as a CEO, along with his other responsibilities.

Choucair was elected lately as the president of the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME).
Choucair assumed the chairmanship of the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon in 2009. He was then elected as the president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in 2010.

Patchi opened its first store in 1974 in Hamra. The Patchi Group currently runs 140 stores across 30 countries.
