Lebanon has demanded 250 megawatts from the Turkish Electricity Trading and Contracting Company (TETAS) during the two day visit of Prime Minister Saad Hariri to Turkey, according to Turkish media reports.

The requested capacity equals nearly one billion of kilowatts/hour (KWH) of electricity trade per year.

The requested tranche could be delivered trough the 500 megawatts, Syria-Turkey electricity line due to technical difficulties and the lack of a direct electricity transmission line between Lebanon and Turkey.
