Budget deficit falls to 25 percent of spending at end-April

The budget deficit fell to 25 percent of spending in the first four months of 2012 , from 35 percent a year ago, according to figures released by the Ministry of Finance.

The primary surplus reached $192 million, compared to a surplus of $18 million at end-April 2011.

These figures include revenues collected from the Ministry of Telecommunications, which have not yet been transferred to the Treasury.
