Robert Abi Nader to open first boutique in Down Town

Plans to discuss franchise opportunities in Arab countries and Europe next

Local fashion designer, Robert Abi Nader, will open his first boutique in Down Town Beirut in late September. The boutique will offer haute couture, ready-to-wear, casual wear, and accessories. The designer’s atelier is in Jal el Dib.

The new boutique, to be located further up the road from the Four Seasons Hotel along the waterfront boulevard, will occupy a three-level, 400m2 shop. Joseph Abi Nader, managing director of the Robert Abi Nader Company, said the location is ideal as it is where their targeted clientele are, mainly Arabs, tourists, and expatriate locals.

The shop’s lease is for six years but Abi Nader said they will be discussing the possibility of buying the shop at a later stage. He said political instability and recurrent turmoil affected their sales remarkably.

Abi Nader said once their boutique is firmly established, they will be discussing franchise opportunities abroad, mainly to Arab and European countries, with Dubai as their main target. To date the Robert Abi Nader brand was available abroad within only certain stores and shops.
