Sending mobile phone credits abroad (or vice versa) is now available through a new service introduced by BoB Finance, the financial institution owned by Bank of Beirut.

BoB Finance partnered with ‘TransferTo’, a global airtime remittance hub, to offer cross-border mobile top-up service.

To carry out a cross-border phone credit transfer, the sender needs to go to a BoB Finance branch and provide the mobile phone number of the recipient and the desired amount with which to top-up the recipient’s mobile phone account. The transaction is processed in real-time through TransferTo’s secure platform. The recipient is notified by SMS of the number of credits received.

The service will allow the country’s expatriate community, foreigners residing in the country, and visitors to send mobile phone top-ups to other people in 50 countries around the globe, including Africa and south-east Asia.
