Trademark registration paperwork can now be made through Liban Post. The new service will be offered in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade. As per the ministry’s figures, around 10,000 trademark and intellectual property application are filed each year.

Hind Fadel, marketing director at Liban Post, said the new service facilitates the time-consuming procedure.

Previously filing for trademark registration could only be done at the Ministry of Economy and Trade. Clients can learn about the papers required and submit an application online through the ministry’s website. “Clients can send the documents and pay the fees for trademark registration through any Liban Post office, without the need to visit the ministry’s premises,” said Fadel.
Liban Post has 77 offices across the country.

“Once the registration certificate is ready, the Liban Post delivers it to the client’s address,” she said. The Liban Post charged LL25000 for each trademark registration service.
