‘Hot Dog and Beyond’, a new eatery specialized in serving frankfurters, opened recently at Le Mall Dbayeh. The restaurant aims to turn the humble casual hotdog into a higher end culinary experience.

The company is owned by Michel Salameh, brother of Tony Salameh, the owner of Aishti. “The concept of the restaurant is to transform the hot dog from a corner-side kiosk sandwich into a platter,” said Roy Dagher, operations manager at Hot Dog and Beyond. The Dbayeh branch is 140m2 in area and offers 12 kinds of frankfurters along with ten custom burger varieties. Dagher said the company expects greater success than that witnessed with the rise of burger joints.

The price of a full meal ranges from $10 to $11, whether a burger or a frankfurter, along with a salad, fries, and drinks. Dagher said that two other branches are underway. Their 160m2-Hamra branch, located next to Zaatar w Zeit and Classic Burger Joint, will open in two months. Another branch will open in Metn at a later stage. Dagher said investment in the project surpassed $500,000. He said the company also aims to expand its franchise abroad.
