Airport to suspend some flights during Pope's visit

Flights at Beirut's airport will be suspended for short periods on Friday and Sunday (September 14 and 16) during the visit of Pope Benedict XVI, according to a statement issued by the Rafik Hariri International Airport.

Air travel will be halted on Friday from 1:15 p.m. till 3 p.m., and on Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Pope Benedict is scheduled to arrive at the airport at 1:45 p.m. Friday and leave the country at 7 p.m. Sunday.
