Electric-powered Eco Bike now available locally

Eco Bike, a new electric-powered bicycle, is now available in the local market. The environment-friendly bike operates through three rechargeable batteries.

Eco Bike is imported from China. The brand is distributed locally through a number of dealers. “Eco Bike could be charged in just one hour and a half, and it can run for about 65 kilometers,” said George Khalil, owner and General Manager of Karla’s Food, one of the local dealers. “If the batteries run out, the bike can be operated manually,” he said.

The bike does not require any official ownership documents, and driving it does not require a license.

Eco Bike is priced at around $675. Khalil said that there is good demand on the bike. “A total of 80 items were sold since the beginning of the year,” he said.
