Spinneys opens in Jbeil

Two more branches planned for next year

Spinneys has opened in Jbeil.
This is the supermarket chain's eighth local store.

The new store has 3,000 square meters of retail space and parking space for 300 vehicles. The store aims to serve a catchment area extending from Kesrouan to Batroun. Spinneys expects its new store to capture some 750,000 visitors a year.

Michael Wright, CEO of Spinneys group said: “We are unremitting in our faith in Lebanon’s economic future.” Spinneys is planning to open two more local stores by end 2013.

Spinneys Jbeil has created 170 new jobs in the area. The supermarket chain has a staff of 1,500 across the country. Spinneys has been operating in the country since 1998. It has stores in Ashrafieh, Hazmieh, Dbayeh, Jnah, Saida, Tyr, and Tripoli.
