The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will soon be managing its work through an internal online platform. The new system will improve control over documentation, reducing the risk of document loss or manipulation. It will also reduce the need for physical storage space, and automate procedural workflows, resulting in more efficiency.

According to officials at the TRA, the project is expected to start in January 2013. The plan will take around a year to be completed.

The administration will be funding the program through a grant received from the World Bank.

The project requires the implementation of a content management system. It also requires training for both administrators and end users.

The TRA has launched a call for interest for eligible firms that could undertake the project. The winning firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out by the World Bank.
