Hotel occupancy reports mostly unchanged

Beirut’s hotel occupancy rate stood relatively the same at 58 percent at end-September compared to 55 percent the same period last year. Beirut ranked 13th among Middle Eastern cities where hotels reported a single-digit rise in occupancy rates year-on-year. Ten out of 16 cities in the Middle East posted a contraction in their average room rate. Beirut had the tenth highest room rate after dropping by 9.5 percent to reach $200. Beirut’s rooms yield was the tenth highest in the Middle East, coming at $117, after dropping by almost five percent.
