Modern Transport Management (MTM), a new taxi and transportation services company, has recently launched operations. The company offers two different transportation options: Private cars (taxi), and public cars (service).

MTM is owned by Bernard Jurdi and managed by Jean Dagher.

“More than $1 million were invested in the company,” said Walid Ayyad, operations manager at MTM. “The investment size will be raised as new cars will be added to the fleet.” The company currently operates 15 cars across 16 routes in Beirut. It plans to increase its fleet to 365 cars, and expand its geographic outreach over the next four months.

“Common problems, like traffic jams, lack of parking spaces, and the high price of fuel, led us to establish this company,” Ayyad said. “Our goal is to upgrade the quality of transportation services, help taxi drivers, and offer dependable services to consumers,” he said. MTM has installed cameras in all its cars and plans to install taximeters to guarantee transparency and honesty when it comes to tariffs.

MTM rents the cars and the public transportation licenses from different owners, and supplies its own drivers.
