Fifteen years ago, Elie Habib hired Eddy Maroun to compose ringtones at a time when simple music on mobile phones was a novelty.

Today, the two men are founding partners in a high-tech streaming service that brings listeners’ favorite tunes to their fingertips.

Anghami, “my tunes” in Arabic, provides smartphone users with songs from some of biggest labels in the region and the world, using Dolby sound analytics to determine people’s taste and a vast library of music.
