The Lebanese Capital Markets Day took place on Monday (November 26) at London’s stock market.

The event, held for the first time, was organized by London’s stock market in collaboration with the Central Bank (BDL) and BNY Mellon, a New-York based investment management firm.

The Lebanese Capital Markets Day is part of a series of events organized by London’s stock market to facilitate dialogue between international and local investors.

Participants discussed developments in the local economy. They addressed aspects of asset management and investment banking. The Central Bank’s governor, Riad Salameh said during the opening: “London is a major channel supporting the growth of Lebanese banks, associations, and economy in general.”

The event was attended by representatives from Middle East Airlines (MEA), Solidere, Audi Saradar, BLOM Bank, Byblos Bank, Bank of Beirut, and Malia Group. “We are looking forward to discussing our ideas with a large group of global investors,” Salameh said.
