NSSF increases physicians’ fees

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has decided to increase physicians’ fees and some hospital services tariffs as follows:
-Consultation fees inside hospitals were raised to LL28,000 (around $18.50) for general practitioners, and LL40,000 (around $26.50) for specialists.
-Consultation fees outside hospitals were raised to LL33,000 (around $22) for general practitioners and LL50,000 (around $33) for specialists.
-The K value was raised to LL7,500 (around $5) from LL5,000 (around $3.25)

This decision followed a previous announcement by the NSSF’s to raise to LL2.5 million ($1,660) the maximum salary per employee subject to its sickness and maternity fund subscriptions.
