Bank of Beirut (BoB) is launching ‘U for Youth’, a new project to support Lebanese youth. The project involves a competition to reward participants with noteworthy achievements in all walks of life.

This competition is part of the bank's ‘Young Achievers Program’ (YAP) corporate social responsibility initiative. The YAP involves partnership with a number of local universities and edcuational facilities, namely the Université Saint Joseph (USJ), the Lebanese American University (LAU), the Notre Dame University (NDU), the American University of Sciecne and Technology (AUST), the Université Saint-Esprit Kaslik (USEK), and AMIDEAST.

The competition is supported by MTV Lebanon through the show ‘Men el Ekher’ ('bottom line') featuring a new segment, ‘Ekher Injez’ (‘Latest Achievement’).

Each episode presents the achievement of one young talent in front of a panel of judges. Judges evaluate the candidate by either a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Each thumbs-up is equivalent to $500. BoB will reward candidates with a cash amount equivalent to all the thumbs-ups they receive.

The top three achievers will be selected at the end of the season (26 episodes). The Platinum winner will receive $15,000, the Gold winner will receive $10,000, and the Silver winner will receive $5,000.
