The renovated beach resort Jiyeh Marina will be launched in May 2013 under the management of budget hotel chain Golden Tulip.

The chain already operates three properties locally, Golden Tulip Hotel De Ville in Sodeco, Golden Tulip Serenada Hamra, and Golden Tulip Galleria in Jnah.

‘Jiyeh Marina & Resort’ is owned by Lebanese businessman Mohammad Saleh. The development of the hotel cost around $38 million. The overall investment in the project reached $113 million.

The resort now includes 152 rooms and extensive facilities. It features two swimming pools, a conference room, and a number of restaurants and wedding venues. The hotel will also boast a yacht marina.

The resort already comprises 120 seaside chalets, of which 60 were sold, and the other 60 were let out. The Golden Tulip management will extend its services to the chalets as well. The project is expected to generate around 150 new jobs.
