The Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT) has signed an agreement with the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI) and the International Youth Foundation (IYF) to implement ‘Youth @ Work Fayhaa’ program.

Fawaz Hamidi, General Manager of BIAT, said the agreement aims to develop the incubator’s capacities, allowing it to play a more efficient role in Tripoli and its neighboring areas.

The initiative builds on the previous work of the ‘Youth @ Work’ program, which was implemented by the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Youth Employability (GPYE) with the AUDI and the IYF. The program aims to support efforts to empower local municipalities and community-based organizations to improve their ability to design, implement, and evaluate effective youth employability programming. It will help build the capacity of municipalities and social-safety-net stakeholders in Tripoli, and support their implementation of three youth employability pilot projects with AUDI funds.

BIAT was established with the assistance and backup of the Integrated SME Support Program, an EU funded project in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
