French cooperation on youth and sports development

The Ministry of Youth and Sports signed an administrative cooperation agreement with the French Ministry of National Education to develop youth and sports activities locally.

A five-year mission will be launched to train local officials on developing a national sports plan including the instatement of certificates for sports-related occupations, the organization of sports events, and control and regulation.

The French ministry will also send experts to provide technical and capacity-building support for local associations involved in youth and community activities.

This agreement will serve in the preparations for the 2013 Francophone games in Nice (France) and the 2015 Arab Games in Lebanon.
