Sports 4ever opens second branch in Erbil

Local sports retailer plans regional expansion

Local sportswear store Sports 4ever will open its second branch in Erbil-Iraq in the next few months. The store will be located in the Royal Mall. It already has an outlet in Erbil’s Tablo Mall. “We are preparing a solid expansion plan with several new outlets in different Arab Countries,” said Verena El Homsy, Marketing Manager at Baroody Group, the company behind Sports 4ever.

Sports 4ever has recently opened its second branch in Jordan in the Taj Mall. It first branch in Jordan is located in City Mall-Amman.

“Branching out requires sizeable investments, especially when the expansion is accompanied with representative offices that manage operations in the hosting countries,” said Homsy.

Baroody Group distributes several sportswear brands in a number of Arab markets. It also runs a mono-brand Columbia store in Amman's City Mall. Sports4ever is the dealer for several brands including Banana Moon, Champion, Columbia Sportswear Company, and Kettler. The store also distributes other sports brands.

Sports 4ever was founded by Baroody Group in 2007. The store has two local branches in Dbayeh and ABC Ashrafieh.
