Food Kapital Holding, the company that manages Leila, Leil Nhar, Let’s Burger, and Harbor restaurants, announced an expansion plan for its concepts in the MENA and the GCC countries.
Dory Daccache, Founder and General Manager of Food Kapital said Lebanese-cuisine restaurant Leila, already available in several Arab countries, will be expanding its presence through more franchise deals.

Leila will open its first branch in Qatar within the coming two months. Daccache said by the end of the year Leila will be made available through the first branches in each of Jordan and Erbil.
Leila will open its third branch in Egypt by end of 2013 through their franchisees there, Global Gourmet. Leila will also open a third branch in Kuwait by 2014. The franchisee in Kuwait is Al Kharafi.

“We will also open two new Leila outlets in Dubai,” said Daccache. The city already hosts two Leila branches, franchised by Al Alami.

Leila will be tapping both Saudi and Omani markets. “The Omani agreement is already signed, whereas the Saudi one is in the negotiation phase,” Daccache said. Leila has four branches in the local market.

The expansion plan also includes Leil Nhar café. Food Kapital has signed a franchise deal with Design Arabia to open five outlets in the KSA. A third Leil Nhar will be launched in Dubai through a franchise deal with Good Company. “We are expecting new outlets in Erbil, that should be opened by November 2013. Erbil contract is signed with Epicure Holding Sal.,” Daccache said. Leil Nhar has three branches locally: Ashrafieh, Saida, and Dbayeh.

Let’s Burger, which so far has one local outlet and another outlet in Kuwait, is opening a new branch in Erbil, which will open simultaneously with Leil Nhar by November 2013, contract also signed with Epicure Holding Sal.

According to Daccache, franchising has supported the company’s business, especially during tough times. “Projects in the local market will remain on hold due to the current instability and uninspiring situation,” he said.
