The Lancaster Plaza Raouche, formerly Royal Plaza, is resuming its operations in September. The hotel has gone through a renovation process and three floors were added to the initial building.

Lancaster Plaza is owned by Achour Holding, which owns and runs two other Lancaster branded properties: Lancaster Suites and Lancaster Hotel.

Majed Najjar, Group F&B Manager at Achour Holding, said that the Lancaster Plaza is now a five-star hotel. It was rated 4-A previously.

Najjar said that the hotel now has 18 floors, with 12 aboveground levels dedicated to rooms and restaurants. The hotel now has a totals of 151 rooms. The six underground levels host kitchens, a small banquet room, and a parking area.

Najjar said that the 18th floor will host ‘Prime 18’, a high end open-air steakhouse, and a cigar lounge. The hotel will also host a banquet room, and a Lebanese restaurant that seats up to 220 guests.

Najjar said investing in launching a new hotel is not risky. “We run other hotels, and they are all doing fine, although there has been a change in the quality of stays. We used to receive single stays for couples and families, but now our business is turning more towards corporate stays with a fewer numbers of guests.”
