Qi Juice, a local brand of organic vegetable juice, was recently launched in the market. The concept was brought by Leila Fakih Nashabe and Hana Alireza.

Alireza said the decision to launch this concept initiated from the needs of local consumers. “Our produce will be very appealing to the local society, which is convinced that health is important regardless of political instability,” she said.

She said that the idea of drinking vegetable juice, such as beetroot, is not yet widespread locally. But, according to her, the local market has great potential: “Vegetable juice is very healthy and many people are adopting a three-day regimen with our juices to purify their digestive system.”

The juice is cold pressed, which means that the technique used to prepare it resembles that of olive oil. Each bottle (of net weight 450 grams) costs $10 and is available at the Qi Juice kitchen in Sioufi, and at the ‘New Earth’ store in Ahsrafieh, next to the Zahrat Al Ehsan school.

Investment in the project reached around $180,000, supported by a Kafalat-guaranteed loan of more than $100,000. The investment covered the cost of constructing the kitchen, machinery, and equipment. The project has also benefited from Bader’s finance mentoring program and long-term financial plan.

Alireza said that they established their project as a profit-oriented business, with a return on investment reachable within a year and a half.
