François Bassil heads ABL

New board of directors elected

The Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) has elected François Bassil, Chairman of Byblos Bank, as its new Chairman replacing Joseph Torbey, Chairman of Credit Libanais.

The ABL elected a new board of directors with a two-year mandate. The 12 board members are: Nadim Kassar (Fransabank), Saad Azhari (BLOM Bank), AbdulRazzak Achour (Fenicia Bank), Antoine Sehnaoui (SGBL), Mohamad Hariri (BankMed), Salim Sfeir (Bank of Beirut), Marwan Kheireddine (Al Mawarid), Tanal Sabbah (Libano-Suisse Bank), Joseph Torbey (Credit Libanais), Raymond Audi (Bank Audi), Farid Raphael (BLF), and François Bassil.

Azhari was elected as Vice-President, Audi as Secretary, and Sabbah as Treasurer.
