The first phase of the tourist resort Kroum Ehden was recently completed. The venue offers visitors accommodation, food and beverage, pools, and events hosting services.

Kroum Ehden is owned by Gaby Tayoun, a Lebanese businessman who owns Europtima, a company active in the real estate industry in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The project will be accomplished in five consecutive phases, launched on a yearly basis, said Hala Farah, General Manager.

Kroum Ehden's total space extends over 140,000 square meters. Phase one covers 12,000 square meters of built-up area. Farah said the execution cost around $7 million.

The completed phase includes rooms and suites with adjoining pools and sundecks, in addition to two large swimming pools. A lounge and a restaurant specializing in traditional food from Ehden are also available. Total investment potential in the project is expected to reach $55 million by 2017.

Kroum Ehden grows its own products on-site, including more than 2,000 fruit trees, as well as some 5,000 other trees.
