The Ministry of Telecommunication has announced an updated schedule to implement the fast Internet plan across all regions.

The new project consists of enabling 118 new telecom zones with high speed connection stations. Currently, only 170 stations out of the planned 288 are fiber-optic enabled.

The new stations will serve 500,000 people in 541 towns in the Bekaa, North, South, and Mount Lebanon Governorates

The Ministry asked Ogero to prepare the list of technical and financial requirements in order to initiate works, and supply the concerned areas with the necessary bandwidth capacities. The project will require three to six month to be accomplished.
