G. Tamer Holding, manufacturer of cosmetics, perfumes, and household products, is planning to expand in the region. The company will open two factories specialized in personal care products, in Saudi Arabia and North Iraq. Gaby Tamer, Chairman of G. Tamer Holding, said: “The project is still under study, and we will be choosing the locations during the upcoming months.”

“We chose these two markets because of our in-depth knowledge of them, thanks to our presence there. We will also be able to export our products to other Gulf countries, and Africa,” said Tamer.

The initial budget allocated for the two projects could reach $10 million. Both factories will have the same production capacity and size of 3,000 square meters. The facilities will be equipped with the latest technological machines, which could lead to changes in the budget.

The company is cooperating with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia to select a location. “We are considering Jeddah or the King Abdullah Economic City, around 100 km north of Jeddah.”

The two projects will be finalized within two years from the initiation of works, and are expected to start operating at the beginning of 2016.

Tamer Holding is a distributor of products in the dental, paramedical, and toys segments in more than ten Arab countries with a recent outreach into Turkey, Iraq, and Dubai.
