Live TV and videos on demand coming

Local mobile operator Touch launched the first web TV for mobile phones on, August 28.

Touch TV is a paid-subscription mobile TV service. "Users can subscribe for monthly packages and watch live TV across several local and international channels, in addition to a large bouquet of videos on demand,” said Nadim Khater, Chief Commercial Officer at Touch. Costs and fees will be announced shortly.

Touch had been developing the application for several months, with the support of E2M, a technology and content partner.

Lately, the local mobile operator has been very active in developing mobile technologies. A few months ago, Touch announced its own mobile cloud and app store. It has also been leading a series of workshops since the beginning of the year, to implement an apps development culture and community.
