The Hard Rock Café, one of the most iconic American diners, officially shut down in Ain el Mreisseh as of September 9, 2013, said Chady El Bared, General Manager of the restaurant. Hard Rock International will be looking for a new location in the country, to be announced at a later stage.

Hard Rock Café Beirut, launched in December 1996, was the first venture in the Middle East by the chain. The Ain el Mreisseh branch used to stretch over 900 square meters with a capacity for 200 seats.
