The Harvard Arab Weekend conference on November 7-10 will host the second annual ‘Harvard Arab Startup Pitch’ contest. Entrepreneurs will pitch their projects and receive feedback from high-profile figures including venture capitalists, angel investors, and industry experts.

The conference will be held at the Harvard University, USA, and will gather Arab leaders to discuss the future of the region.

The contest finalists will fly to Boston to compete for a cash prize of $30,000 with continued mentorship and exposure. Projects should focus on the Middle East and should be in the seed capital phase or earlier, with a sustainable business model guaranteeing long-term self-sustainability.

The projects will be judged based on their sound business model and potential impact on the Middle Eastern market.

The deadline for submissions is October 6, 2013.

The Harvard Arab Weekend has several major sponsors from the region, including Booz & Co, The Abraaj Group, Saudi Aramco, and Bank Audi.
