Roadster: Daccache
buys Chehlaoui's share

Donald Daccache, founder and owner of the local American-style restaurant chain Roadster Diner has bought the shares of his partner. Donald Daccache is now the sole owner of the eatery. Donald Daccache is also the co-founder of the Zaatar w Zeit and Deek Duke chain.

“We are planning to pursue a wider and stronger strategic expansion plan,” said Daccache.

Sources said that the deal was concluded at around $18 million, but Daccache did not confirm the sum.

Roadster Diner was founded in 1998 with the opening of its first branch in Achrafieh. The chain now has nine dine-in branches and two delivery centers. Roadster Diner is an ISO 22000 certified company since 2004.

In 2003 the Roadster Diner Company founded Deek Duke, another casual dining restaurant chain with chicken as the main menu item.
